The KM70 hopper wagon, introduced in 2015 by CRRC Group, is a modern bulk freight wagon developed for heavy‑load and high‑speed railway transportation.
It adopts a compact and reliable structure with dual unloading systems: pneumatic and manual. It is ideal for large‑scale transportation of bulk cargoes like coal and ore, and widely used in ports, power plants, coal preparation plants and steel enterprises.

Built with 450MPa yield strength atmospheric corrosion-resistant steel for main bearing parts and a straight center beam design, it delivers exceptional structural stability and a 70-ton load capacity, ideal for heavy bulk cargo transport.
Optimized bottom door mechanism (based on mature top-lock structure) and E-grade steel 17-type coupler with MT-2 buffer ensure stable, durable operation, while K6/K5 bogies reduce wheel-rail forces and boost running speed to 120km/h.
Humanized auxiliary facilities (escalator, cornice) create a safer working environment for operators, and the hopper ridge pull rod device improves sidewall anti-rising performance, preventing structural deformation during transit.
